LUMC United Women in Faith

LUMC United Methodist Women (UMW) are now United Women in Faith

The United Women in Faith at LUMC are a collection of women of ALL ages, whose purpose is Mission Outreach. Although we only meet once a month, second Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m., we cover a great variety of topics and projects for our members to participate in. We welcome ALL women of the church (members and non-members) to come join us for fellowship & refreshments, as well as a time for devotions and a meaningful program.

As an organized unit of the worldwide United Women in Faith organization, we are given planning resources and direction for planning a whole year’s worth of programs. Some of our recent meaningful and insightful programs, which pertain to current world issues, have covered the gamut from serious social issues (hunger, poverty, homelessness, human trafficking), environmental issues, women’s issues, technology challenges/opportunities, to not so serious – but entertaining topics - such as the joys and meanings of the church hymns we sing. And we have all been inspired by the many stories we hear of worldwide and local UMF efforts to make a difference in the world.
