UNCHAINED –
Unchained is a ministry of Langhorne United Methodist Church dedicated to supporting individuals and families caught up in the throws and effects of destructive life decisions.
“LORD help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
He led them from the darkness and deepest gloom;
HE SNAPPED THEIR CHAINS.
Let them praise the LORD for his great love and for all his wonderful deeds to them.
For he broke down their prison gates of bronze; he cut apart their bars of iron.
Psalm 107:13-16 NLT
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? “Anyone in bondage to the rule of substance, activity, or state of mind, which then becomes the center of life, defending itself from the truth so that even bad consequences don’t bring repentance, and leading to further estrangement from God.” – Edward T. Welch, A Banquet in the Grave.
Our meeting is part of the Addictions Victorious (AV) network (www.AddVicInc.org). A network of Christ centered support and recovery groups. Our meetings are open to men and women of all ages who are seeking lasting change in their lives. We reach out in the love of our Lord Jesus to those who struggle with various addictions. We also embrace loved ones and friends who find themselves on the other side of addiction; those who are being adversely impacted by the addict’s destructive lifestyle.
Meetings will be held in the church lounge every Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 pm2. For more information about this meeting please contact Dave Tyler (267.262.2369 or deejaytee@verizon.net), Mark Letham (215.932.3082 or mrletham@comcast.net) or Bill Bryan (215.847.2130 or bbryan104@comcast.net).
